New WoW Servers Targets Aussie Gamers

Australian World of Warcraft gamers rejoice! Blizzard has opened two new servers aimed at WoW fans in Australia.

To support WoW's rapid growth, Blizzard has created six new servers worldwide. Oceania prefers two of the new servers to be available for Australian, New Zealand, or Singaporean players. These servers will be set to GMT +11 time. This is a boon to local players who were previously unable to attend time-sensitive world events because of differences in time zones. However, the new sites are still US-hosted.

Frostmourne is one of the Oceania servers that is designated PvP while Khaz'goroth is normal. In a statement, Blizzard said that because of the need to conduct weekly maintenance simultaneously for all realms in an individual region, the Oceania-preferred realms will have scheduled downtime at the same time as all other North America-based realms.
